    Welcome to troy10,

You can connect to any device via Mobile Hotspot from you BlackBerry device, as long as you have configured the settings properly from your BlackBerry Curve 9360.

Try to keep in mind, troy10, when you say, "unlimited browsing", I'm curiously referring to your BIS data plan.

Depending on your data plan, you have to calculate how you plan to use mobile hotspot, as there are several factors involved.

Also, there is another leaked update, for the BlackBerry Curve 9360.

Download: Leaked: OS 7.1.0.190 For BlackBerry Curve 9360

Remember to delete the vendor.xml file(s), backup & wipe device properly. prior to updating/installing the newer OS.

    Good luck!

Let us know how everything works out for your Curve 9360.

As a friendly reminder, post your results in the correct area of the Forum.

Leaked: OS 7.1.0.190 For BlackBerry Curve 9360

On a personal note, I have installed OS7.1.0.190 on my friend's Curve 9360, using BBH-Tool updated to v2.4.9.5 , and saved her almost 35% of additional application storage, after everything was said and done with the custom installation.

I should remind you and others when using such a tool as I have posted for you, please use caution when attempting to modify any OS, regardless if it's an official, or leaked.

There's the possibility of bricking your BlackBerry device, and it's a very unpleasant experience.

I provide you the tools to make your device better, but please remember to always back up your BlackBerry device prior to any modifications.

Thank you, and good luck my friend.

    Welcome to

Sorry for the delayed response, asseranjr, the BlackBerry Curve 9360 can be upgraded to the latest OS, which I have posted below (OS7.1.0.190)

As long as you have deleted the vendor.xml file, you can upgrade to any Curve 9360 OS, regardless if the OS is leaked or official, and don't be afraid of breaking your device, just remember to backup the device first, before any OS upgrade.

Click on link below for more information.

Hi troy10, if you want mobile hotspot, or the capability of having it just in case, I'd go with OS7.1.0.190 for your BlackBerry Curve 9360.

In addition, if I remember correctly, this model also has FM radio with OS7.1.0.190.

This leaked build has been very good, lots of positive feedback, so I would definitely download this OS.

If you have time, please post back any findings or feedback.

    Thank you very much.

Once you have downloaded OS7.1.0.190, install it, look for and remove vendor.xml file(s) which can be found by searching vendor.xml (Search Programs and Files).

There is no need to contact your mobile carrier because you upgraded to this OS.

It should just work by turning on your carrier's GSM network, which is located in Manage Connections (Mobile Network).

We'll be here to help you anytime, troy10

If you need further help, please don't hesitate to ask any question, there is no such thing as too many questions here on

    Thank you.

Hi troy10, when I refer to a GSM network, I'm referring to the wireless network which is used to identify compatible handsets and equipment.

GSM stands for (Global System for Mobile Communications), which has evolved from the very early days of 1G, then 2G, such as GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) and EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), referred as EGPRS.
Than 3G came along UMTS, developed by the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project), and the latest and greatest 4G LTE Advanced Standards.

I hope this will help you understand what's the difference between GSM, and what mobile carrier's use.

Seems you have a data plan if you can access email, as it requires a data plan, so yes, you can use Mobile Hotspot, but make sure you have the correct OS installed OS7.1.0.258 for Curve 9360 which has the mobile hotspot feature.

Also, an Official: OS 7.1.0.219 For BlackBerry Curve 9360 Via Bell Mobility was just released today.

    Hope this helps your excitement
