This will be my first jump to 5.0 if the findings end up being good. How to I revert back to the old BBM without losing my contacts being that is doesn't have the backup/restore contacts option? Also which version should I downgrade to?

ok.. installed and everything is ok cept for browser... only have hotspot
this OS is very impressive! It has many major and minor changes. Hard to describe 100´s of details - my english is not so good...
the only reason I step back now is the missing BBM - I need it for my work!
Hopefully we will get a leak including a BBM

that may be helpful to those of you with browser issues
I'm surprised losing BBM 5.0 is a dealbreaker for so many ppl. BBM 4.7 isn't that bad. I'll take BBM 4.7 with threaded sms over BBM 5 any day.
How well is the threaded SMS working on this release? I seen someone is having an issue with the autocorrect/spell check possibly?? Is the threaded SMS running smooth? at this point i'm making the decision based on having BBM5 or Threaded SMS w/ OS 5.....any thoughts??
I love BBM5 so many nice features, it actually auto loads my BBM5 contacts back onto my device via registration tied to my e-mail it seems, I wish I had a screen shot of what it did automatically after I uninstalled BBM5 and then reinstalled it after a wipe, it automatically restored my contacts, not sure if it was from a backup file or not. I know that I didn't select a BBM contacts backup file to restore from, also it looked as though it pulled them off the wireless AT&T network according to federation with my main e-mail address setup with my BB.
ok so im on rogers in canada.... and my browser is still saying hotspot... even tho i even saved out my service books from an old back up... what up with this?
Did you remove the browser daemon from 5.0.0.238 first with crackutil then reboot? Then load your old service books backup via Desktop Manager, once this is done restore the browser daemon backup to your device again with crackutil. Then finally reboot again and log in to Rodgers' blackberry internet service https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=rogers and resend your service books.
what's the memory like?
battery life seems better .... so far... .190 had me 1 bar shy by now, still full and playing media on .238 1hr plus
