291 is a carrier hybrid based on a really old platform and therefore nothing special. 292 is the highest platform version available to date in the 4.6 series. Also you have 2G/3G selection on AT&T which was not the case on 291. 291 is really not as good as 266, 282, or even now 292.

thanks for the update.

This morning after powering on could only get edge in 2G mode. Had to switch to 2G&3G mode then switch back and finally got EDGE. A minor thing but a glitch nonetheless worth reporting. Also had some clock timers popping up last night when using the browser and a couple apps (SocialScope & Facebook). Not sure why but if that problem continues it will get on my nerves quick. Been chatting with Hulkster and he's having some clock timer too. Overall still a very good build.

The main difference is the platform in .291 the platform version is a lower version than .282 and in .292 the platform is .241

After a couple day testing this build is quite strong on the battery.. but not as good as the younger os like 266 and 282 for the signal.. thats why the battery became more efficient cuz the unstable signal...

Is the slow picture loading bug fixed? Do they load faster that .282? I love the picture load speed of .266, but would like to have the ability to switch from 3G to 2G. Had .282 for a while, but the picture thing was killing me, so went back to .266.

.297 is a whole new build, whole new platform so it is very reasonable to assume this could be fixed. The build hits AT&T customers in a few short hours so there should be feedback on this by mid-morning tomorrow I'm sure
