Try calling your provider Customers support and have them to resend your service books, also you can resend them via pc on their web page, I'm pretty sure that's the problem you're havingOriginally Posted by cmink79

i resent the service book, but didnt help. did u see the link i posted on my prior post on how to change the redio? do u think itll help
I still think you are fighting a hardware issue that' can't be fixed. I think it is very unlikely that swapping the radio will solve the issue. The best thing would be to ask for a replacement. If you are that worried about getting charged for not having an official OS on the device, then you could install an official version before sending it back.
i did that, i9 went back to .216 but they guy at the store told me that the technicians are able right away to see if an unoffical OS has been installed, even after a wipe or restore to factory.
what would u advice? is that indeed true?
out of desperation i went out to buy me a 8900 :-(
meanwhile ill send this to be fixed.
thank you ALL for your kind help, i really appreciated it
They won't be a able to tell. I work for at&t and I have customers/friends who screw up their blackberrys messing around w/ leaked versions of firmware and get a warranty replacement all the time. All you have to do is install the latest firmware and do a device wipe and you're good

dude, i had the same problem before a few days, after installing the new BBM, but turned out to be a sim card problem. replaced the sim and everything went back to normal.
i replaced it, payed 8.00€ for sim replacement, turned on the bb, it connectd for 10 mins, downloaded emails, the BUM, SOS again
