Nice and to the point review Ealvnv! Now my question is this, how is this leak compared to the .100?? I notice several bugs and flaws and was wondering if there were any improvements/fixes with the .130.
Here's my findings between the .90, .100 and .130
.90
- Biggest problem was a major memory leak some where, had to reboot at least every 3 days.
- Battery lasted the longest out of the 3 builds
- FaceBook, Microsoft Live Messenger, AIM, ICQ, Flickr, etc. not working
- Had to use BBM 5 for Tour
.100
- Emails with attachments cause the body of the email to be a text attachment which cant be read by any of the programs.
- Memory Leak seems to be fixed
- Slow web browsing
- FaceBook, Microsoft Live Messenger, AIM, ICQ, Flickr, etc. not working
- Had to use BBM 5 for Tour
.130
- OS is noticably faster when changing apps and web browsing
- Battery is longer than .100 but less than .90
- Email problem still there
- No noticeable memory leaks yet
- FaceBook, Microsoft Live Messenger, AIM, ICQ, Flickr, etc. not working add to this list Blackberry App World (1.0.0.26 and .30) now too.
- Had to use BBM 5 for OS 5
- Anonying SMS message bug where you have to double click to open a message
I am using (All working successfully)
- BES
- personal web account
- Gmail
- Google Maps
- SalesForce
- SmrtGuard
- BBM 5
- FlyCast
- ShaZam
- Bolt
- Opera Mini
- Where
- Pandora
- Poynt
- Google Voice
- WorldMate Live
- Slacker
- WeatherBug
- WeatherEye
and a bunch of plazmic themes...
Tried .100 a little while back but the Browser wouldn't work for me :( Here's hoping the issue doesn't come up with this one- DL'ing now :D

If you put them side by side, There's a big improvements on this build there are some bugs here and there but nothing that you can't deal with, I've also noticed that the browser speed is a big step on this build, since I use my bold on tmobile and only get EDGE, it fly, also I have to say that battery life is better than .100 but not than .90, also there are many others things to talk about but those are deep and complicated things, not random reboots, and better media support.Quote:

When you're going to download the app checkmark the set application permissions box and click download then set all to allow and you should be ready to go.Quote:

Beejive might not work with the newer OS. But BBM 5 should. What is the problem you have with it?

Bbm5 is working you need to use the version for 5.0 on this buildQuote:

Thanx E! Yeah I've actually joined a couple other forums since the stacks aren't exclusively BB anymore. I haven't noticed any issues with battery life. But the IM clients such as Gtalk and Yahoo won't work yet. BBM5 I had to DL seperately but that's working fine. :) looks like most things defaulted to 4.7 compatable versions (BBM and Docs to Go were both 4.7). Very happy with this OS :DQuote:
