You talking about ripping the OS off the phone? It's very easy if you have the right tools, but there's a how to on one of these sites. See if I can find it for you.

Is it installed? Do you have the actual file of the OS on your computer or no?

If it was installed on your computer. It'll be located in the Add/Remove programs section on your computer.

Looks like the update was pushed via the DM and not onto my PC

Thought so. So the only way you could put the OS itself onto the computer is to rip the OS off the device.

If I can work out how to do that would the files be useful to anyone at all?

It still has to download to the computer doesn't it? Wouldn't there be a copy of what files it used in a temp folder somewhere?
