Thread: Leaked OS 5.0.0.464 for the 9000 Findings & Fixes

I just installed 5.0.0.464 on my new bold 9000 and cannot get the App World application to install. I have gone to the website and it tells me my device doesn't meet system requirements. Pardon my noob ignorance.

Go into your browser's options and make sure that the internet mode is set to BlackBerry.

Anybody getting random reboots? I am getting them but not that frequently.

So far so good.. No random reboots at all for me...

Is this leak worth the time, or should we 9000 owners just cross fingers and hope that we get an official sometime this century?

I had 411 and I must say there are some great improvements with speed and memory management on this os. The battery life slightly improved. Overall I would recommend upgrading.

Is anyone currently using the charging pod w/ .464? I changed my bezel and upgraded to .464 together and I'm not sure why its not charging in the pod. I have seen some differences in charging pod behavior in respect to differens OS's but I wasn't too impressed with the inner ingredients of my new bezel either.

is it me or with this leak if you go to MEDIA and press the BB MENU you dont get the option EXPLORE? :S and is there another way to get to things stored there? :S

Did you make sure to swap out the silver charge points on the silver bezel that came with the phone? There are two on both sides of the phone near the bottom. I have .464 and the charing pod works wonders. Hope this helps!

There isn't a difference at all? I am also running the leaked version of 5.0.0.464 and was wondering if it's the same as the official.

I almost want to downgrade because of the lack of Lock-Screen. Even the official has this issue. WTF.

yeap i have to agree with you. even the official still has the screen-lock issues..*sigh

If anyone has seen the problems with AT&T Navigator (Telenav) on 5.0 - can't keep GPS locked in, difficulty finding sats, trouble logging in - I too had the Navigator problems - tried re-installing the package - no improvement.

THEN I discovered the "fix" - instead of using the AT&T branded version that you get from Telenav (V1.8.0.1195) - USE THE "GENERIC" Telenav application (V5.5.0.1016.

No more GPS problems - log in is much faster - finds GPS sats much faster - Bluetooth works fine.

had the offical .411 and was very happy.

i hated the double clicking issue with the trackball and it is still here in this offical OS.

memory seems to hold good and all my apps and stuff are working fine.

i loved.411 alot, battery life and memory were awesome, hope this is as good.

anyone got insite to the trackball double clicking issue?
