good to hear, that the OS is working - did you have that language in your old OS? If so, you could try to copy it to the Berry "manually" - or you have to sit and wait until more carriers support this OS officially, sorry for that

I've tried it once with missing language files...used those of a former OS version and it worked out...

I dont like this OS.. its slow.. if the lights of my device are off and i click something to open the menu or something, it takes sometime to light up..
3g is having a problem to start..
and the browser with edge is taking ages :s

the "official" is not working for me with AT&T; didn't even get a chance to do the browser fix for it.. it just reboots over and over...

Have you deleted the vendor.xml and done a clean install (full wipe of device)?

is the cammera buttons bug.. fixed in the "oficial" release ? :P

I upgraded with the leaked version when it came out..... I have a big problem when receiving phone call on 3G network...... The phone call is often very crumbled. :Eyecrazy:

Work around: I must stick on 2G (Edge) network.

Is somebody experience this problem when receiving phone call on 3G network when using this OS release !?!?

I have. What usually works is for me to switch it to speaker and back and its normal again.

I will try it... I hope this will work.

But I read earlier on another forum that it should be related to 3G network data usage while receiving a phone call !?!?

I initially installed version 5.0.0.411 when it was leaked. After having had downloaded the official version and installed it on my computer, I am unable to upgrade my device. Seems Desktop Manager recognizes it on my BB and doesn't believe it needs to be installed. Any ideas?

nothing has changed from the leaked one... so no... it's not been fixed...

I guess you have to go the hard way and do a full wipe of your berry (after backing up and 3rd party backup), if you really want to use this OS.

so im using a bb bold 9000 rogers phone running 4.6.0.303..i live in montreal, canada.
And this may sound amateur but how do i install the bell mobility os 5.0 on the blackberry? do i have to install it like i would install a leaked version..? or like...what do i do once i've downloaded the file?

okay so im trying to use the all in one guide...but when i open bbsak...i put in my mass media storage pw like it asks and my phones is connected ot the computer (btw its bbsak 1.7...i donwloaded it from the downloads section on this site) so the thing is...bbsak keeps saying "no device detected, push okay to continue" ??? so what do i do?

you need your device being recognized by the PC and all the programs first. Have you installed the RIM desktop manager and the usb drivers correctly? Sometimes it happens that windows puts in a simple hard disk driver for you BB instead of the real RIM drivers enabling real access via usb

i have blackberry desktop manager (like the one shown in the how-to guide) and i have blackberry device manager... so i don't know what could be not working? this is the same problem i had last time i tried to do this- i ended up giving up becuz i got stuck here and didn't know what to do... and its happening again...has it ever happened to you or do u know of cases that it's happened/how to solve it?

happened to me once, I went to the hardware manager of win and uninstalled the drivers that win had assigned to my BB and its media card. Then I installed the full DM package again and it was finally working.

Ok.. so am sorry but take me step by step..
my only two problems right now are
1- the arabic language, (how to copy that manually from a previous build?)
2- what the heck is wrong with the sms? i get different sms's from weird names and its all messed up.. dunno what the deal is!!! have to downgrade???

I still have to major problem with this release:

1- SMS sucks.... receive SMS from the same person in different thread
2- Garbled phone calls when using 3G network

Workaround at this time.

1- SMS : nothing found yet.. still acting strangely
2- Garbled phone calls : nothing found yet to stay in 3G, even if people are saying that pressing some keys during a phone call when trouble happen.... did not solve anything. Must switch to 2G Edge. This problem is related of data communication on 3G network when having phone calls at the same time., and it seems this is not related to the network, but to the device itself.

I really don't know why Bell Mobility release this version as an "official" release. These two flaws should affect many peaople regardless of the network they are running.... I know BM.... it is not a surprise for me why they are doing thing like this.

try to download this file here and to install it via DM
