just install and reboot happen only if i open vodafone update and take long time to update status. I'm using Celcom Malaysia...
so far vodafone update and berryweather make my bold restart...
.314 has had extremely mixed reviews.....I personally have had a horrible time with it.... It constantly corrupted my onboard memory file structure to where I always had to repair it....I believe this was the cause for the multiple random reboots I also experienced with .314....I attempted to fix this to no avail....slow formatting the onboard memory with windows didn't work...also had issues with the OS accessing files on the onboard memory even when the file system appeared to be operating normally....I go back to .238 and have no issues at all....and we all know how AT&T reacts to .348 ......... I've heard that swapping the radio file for .348 fixes the issue but who knows .... I know at some build RIM rewrote the entire radio stack for 5.0 to make battery life much more efficient so possibly they did this in .348 and AT&T isn't ready to handle it yet....others have said it's the fact that AT&T doesn't have 5.0 service books totally ready yet but I'm not so sure about that being that they are launching the 9700 as we speak basically....
I believe I totally bricked my phone installing this.
I'm with Celcom Malaysia.
At first everything went fine, it rebooted OS5.0 came up and everything seemed fine and dandy. I installed my apps and all was still good.
I updated Blackberry Messenger (and it rebooted once fine), facebook, Googletalk and MSN Messenger. All proceeded smoothly.
Then I tried a battery pull...
And now all of a sudden...it's stuck in an endless reboot cycle. Red light steady, then it goes off and then tries it again. nothing on screen, just black. Even when plugged into the USB port (when I was trying to wipe it again), the computer won't detect it.
I'm pretty upset that I lost this phone and have no idea on how to restore it.
Any ideas?
Big BEWARE on this OS build...
