Installed successfully...



Booted up several times with no problem...However, once I reinstalled the sim card (which was removed PRIOR to the wipe) the cycle of reboots started again...

This is really weird...ATT related??

HMMMM trying to get people to go for the 9700 rather than upgrade their bold?

yup...No go for me ...many attemtps, using many different methods...

I have never once had a problem like this loading an OS...been doing this for damn near 10 years with BB's (many different ways of course)...


I think I can say with confidence that if you're on ATT, STAY AWAY FROM THIS OS!

So far the only Apps that don't work for me is Quickpull 3.5.4, I tried to load Documents to go 2.0 and I got a strange icon on my screen.

Yep, ATT does not work at all!

there is a difference file size between megaupload n rapidshare. does it affect??

mega : 112.35mb
rapid : 117.80mb

i am installing this OS now while typing this message. will update findings. I am from Singapore..so hope the BB won't restart in loop.

Okay..Installed, up and running. I double click the file and let it install. then load my Desktop Manager, it backups all my data and install the new OS. and now its running fine. all my 3rd party apps are running fine too. will let it run for a while and report any weird stuff..

alrite, for me, all the east asian language are gone, can not send sms( so funny because i can either call or send an email)!

and now i am torn between stable and ugly 4.6 or 5.0

also, the 5.0 its a lot faster!

been running this since yesterday, heavily, not a single issue yet, battery is still over 50%

a weird thing - sometimes when coming back from the lock screen i jsut get a black screen for a few seconds.

music player - no skips, speaker clarity seems better than .314, fast and responsive inside the playlist and doesnt go mental when receiving an email/sms/pin like 4.6 did.

happiest i have been with a 5.0.0. build yet.

Unrelated incident.... App world has been having some issues the last 12 hours or so...

Installed after doing a clean wipe on BBSAK.. using 3UK had no issues so far.. battery life is still 40% after a full day of 100+ emails and facebook messages... impressed with this 5.0 build

its worked fine for me throughout the day.

installed it on an 8900 last night on t-mobile and its great, havent loaded it on my AT&T Bold yet, kinda hesitant after reading this thread, about to check the CB one now.

Alright..been running since yesterday and also updated my wife's BB from 314 to 348. everything is good and even battery life is good.
