[FIX] SMS Not Sending On OS

Figured out how to fix the SMS Not Sending Problem

Note: Not everyone may have this problem and probably only t-mobile customers are having it I dont know.


Ok so here are the steps that I performed in order to fix the SMS Not sending problem. (I ran multiple tests and this was the only way i fixed it)

Steps:

Goto: Settings/Options/Advanced Options/ Host Routing Table and select to register

Turn off Network Connections after it registered

Now Hold alt and type l g l g ( Hold Alt + Tap L,G,L,G )

Now select menu and clear the logs

Final Step Do a Quick Pull (Let it Last atleast 30 Seconds to clear some flash memory)

After Re-boot:

Let the Device connect to the network leave it for about 30 seconds aswell then go ahead and start texting again.

I checked the logs and saw the error messages it only needed to be re registered and logs removed while connection is off so error doesnt occur on unregistered device then you clear the log so the system doesnt see it and reboot.

Only problem is this is temporary until the OS gets the error again and you have to clear the bug again.

I wish I had a debugger or an SDK I would fix it with no problem :\

till then this debug is the only temporary way to fix it.

:hail: I can live with temporary! I was just about to down grade to .238 when I came across your fix. Hopefully the "Official Release" will fix this and some other problems that people are having. So far this was my main issue. Are you able to wirelessly back up your contacts?

Bluetooth to my car doesn't work properly. It connects then disconnects then connects then disconnects...the phone locks up for about 20-30 seconds then it connects...
Very annoying because I drive a lot & must have Bluetooth working.

How do I correct this problem?

I will check the logs with a bluetooth headset enabled and check what the problem can be. Since the headset has the same functions as the cars bluetooth it should read with same error message.

Please provide me with the Vendor and Model of the bluetooth device you are using and I will purchase the most relevant device.

Till then Ill try a normal headset and see

I had a similar problem in .238.

Try deleting all your devise from your trusted device list.
I had an issue where i couldn't get into the options to delete the device when Bluetooth was enabled. A work around for that is to disable Bluetooth, go into options, turn off all Bluetooth profiles, then delete the device then turn the Bluetooth profiles back on.

Once you have deleted the devices do a battery pull then repair the Bluetooth devices.

Ok now the above works, dont get me wrong, but it's a hassle. Everytime you reboot your phone you have to do this... so here is what I discovered tonight

Tonight I got a SIM rejected message on my phone, after a reboot I got SIM not allowed. I read up and it seems that if your sim card craps out or gets fried for some reason you will get this message. luckily I had another new sim card. I called to activate it. I rebooted my phone and was thinking I would have to apply this fix again since I had to every time I rebooted my phone. but no matter how many times I rebooted my outgoing sms messages sent perfectly fine.

So since it was a new sim card I enabled SIM PIN security because I had that set on my old sim so when the phone boots up it asks you for the SIM PIN. When I set the sim pin and enabled it on the new sim card I rebooted the phone and guess what? My outgoing messages stayed pending again!!!! So I disabled it rebooted and then they started working and going through.... rebooted 3 times and they were sending fine... so I'm 100% sure that those of us that are having outgoing sms messages staying in pending prob have their sim pin security enabled. For some reason having this enabled is doing something that's not allowing outgoing sms messages to go through. Why this is happening I have no clue but I asked vic_machu19 who was also having this issue if he had sim pin security enabled and he did! I told him to disable it and reboot the phone and send a sms and see if it went through or stayed in pending, it worked.. he rebooted twice sent a SMS and it went through.. So I would bet that 100% of the people that are having the problem with outgoing SMS texts staying pending have SIM secuirty enabled!

I have my SIM pin on... I haven't tested it with it off yet.

My only problem with this firmware version.

When I receive calls my phone displays the number and not the name although it is stored in my phonebook.

Any fixes for that?

Thanks. I tried it but didn't work. Got a fix though.

Because I have a password on my phone I need to go to security settings and remove the security password from my address book.

Now it's working perfectly.

Well I guess thats it the ony main problem with the new Leaked OS is the password on the SIM (SIM PIN 1) Causes the phone to malfunction.

And as for the contact SYNC from t-mobile I have to reboot 2 times a quickpull and a normal restart from power button for it to appear in contacts menu.

Other than that everything has been working.




Aswell another thing I noticed the Icons dont fully bloom unless you hover over them to have them bloom on main screen. after that it brightens them and when you move over them they darken again.

Is there a cod or file I could pull from 238 to fix the sim thing??

This I believe is a problem with the .sfi or radio so no .cod file will fix this

Thanks, 348 is out now so I guess I don't have to worry about it.
