    Official: OS 5.0.0.1036 for BlackBerry Curve 8900 via Telcel


    Telcel has officially released OS 5.0.0.1036 for the BlackBerry Curve 8900.

    Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

    Dear BB users please hеlp. i tried to install OS 5.0.0.1036 for Curve 8900 and when i wiped my old Os and started do load new one I can't get to the step on device application selection...it just says that the blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device software for this device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system admin...help me please

    Hi and welcome to

    I would suggest you uninstall the OS installed on your computer and leave the one you want for your smartphone.
    And are you sure that the OS installed on your computer matched your device?


    This situation typically occurs if the BlackBerry smartphone is updated and connected to the computer before the necessary BlackBerry Device Software is installed on the computer.
