Hey people, I have a T-mobile 8900, the device will work fine with any 4.6.1.3xx OS the firmware works but when I update it to 5.0.x it works with the battery in it, If I were to do a battery pull the WHOLE OS is wiped from the device and it just spins the clock on boot have to reload the OS anyone seen or heard about what is wrong? tried installing the 348 firmware works great with battery inside but after battery pull OS is gone :(

Have tried all the leaked 5.0 versions and it seems the device will only take the 4.6.1.x versions when I install the 5.0 it attempts to boot but it bounces after 5 secs, it is in a loop keeps on rebooting go back to 4.6.1.x and the device is working normally faulty device? anyway to correct the ram image or ROM to load the 5.0 firmware?
I understand that but I'd be interested in knowing if the version just released an hour ago presents that problems for you as well. You can also go to Options > Applications and make sure that the system and core software permissions are all set to allow.Quote:

I installed the 348 leaked os, it boots fine the first time after the first boot it seems the memory is wiped clean and no OS exists on the device, all I see is the radio file with app loader, no other method os connecting to the device, Sorry to throw this on this thread as it isn't about 348 but my 8900 and 5.0 in general, installed all the various releases and none seem to want to stick on the device memory only OS 4.6.1.x will stay on the device Wish there was a way to do a diagnostic on the device or a low level FULL format like on a computer

Downloading now when Installed I will let you all know how it runs as for the OS not running after the battery pull guy he might have to reinstall the whole Java loader or just set permissions for the core as stated above.
.348 is working for me. It seems a little snappier than .314 and Opera works again!! :D
The theme quirk with the background is still there, but everything else seems to work well.
the second music icon has the terminal icon instead of music even though it shouldnt be there am I the only one with this?
And visual voicemail still not working on t-mobile
as for changes seems the same gonna test the SMS locking up with a sim password but lets see if it works in a bit
is it me or does the camera seem to take even better pictures ? Also snaps pictures faster i notice
Great OS ! everything works very fast and smooth, but the 'D' and/or delivered confirmation for the SMS's and MMS's..............

Works fine on mine...
once the phone goes on standby (screen dimmed) the system doesnt wake up.
im not too technical but thats what i found. I gotta hard reset in order to bring it back.
also, it takes longer to boot and to-right soft key (opposite side of the lock button) was able to pause the media player if you were listening to music while using another screen and now it doesnt.
any fixes?
Same here I do not the the D and there is a bug when changing it from the SMS menu you must goto options in order to change the setting for delivery confirmation but still the D does not appear.Quote:
