    Ok britje, lets try this....

Go into your connections and turn off your mobile network make sure only wifi is on. After that, delete Blackberry identity if it’s already installed.

To delete BlackBerry Identity, open Options, select Device, and then Applications Management. From there, find and highlight “BlackBerry Identity” Open the menu and select “Delete.” Confirm the delete and restart your BlackBerry. When you next open App World, you should be prompted to reinstall. Once complete, reboot

hope that helps but post back if your still having issues.

I would remove BlackBerry App World via Application Management (which is the proper way), by going into Options>Device>Application Management> scroll to BlackBerry App World, and click on Delete.

Reboot, then either re-install App World via DM (Desktop Manager) or via wireless (WiFi or network connection)

Download: BlackBerry App World mobile site

    That should solve it.

Please read this, The error "BlackBerry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003)" is displayed within BlackBerry App World

BlackBerry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003)

Also, if I may suggest, the latest OS for your BlackBerry Curve 2 8520:

    Download: AT&T_8520_5.0.0.1067

    hi
The error is in the blackberry app world. so as soon as i go into the application. the message comes up to update. and as soon as you selct yes, it throws out with the error. then you get kicked out of the application.

whats the reason for this. i never had this problem before with blackberry app world?

Try to clear out Blackberry App World's cache by pressing Alt+R+S+T it will clean out the cache, then most likely return to the main screen which is completely normal.

Let me know what happens ok

    Welcome to Ang

Here are two ways to try to resolve this issue:

    Workaround 1:
    1. Locate a Wi-Fi hotspot.
    2. Connect to Wi-Fi hotspot.
    3. Attempt BlackBerry Identity upgrade.

    Workaround 2:
    1. On the BlackBerry smartphone, select Options > Advanced Options > TCP/IP
    2. Enable APN Settings
    3. Within the APN field, enter Internet
    4. Save the settings
    5. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry smartphone
    6. Insert the battery into the BlackBerry smartphone
    7. Open BlackBerry App World
    8. Attempt upgrade
Note: Once completed, revert APN settings back to normal.

    Yes it is

Seems a few BlackBerry users are experiencing this issue, and 8 out of 10 times, all it requires is to clear out BB App World's cache.

Note: when inserting your BlackBerry login ID, check for password accuracy.
