Are there any major OS improvements moving to 5.0.0.681 or are the issues in the upgrade bug fix related?
I am trying to evaluate what the benefits would be for me to possibly install this upgrade.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

YES upgrade the 5.0 OS is a lot better then the 4, it will run faster and smoother. I have been running it for 3 days now on my 8520 and all is good so far haven't found any BUGS yet!

    Thanks macgyver3944 !

I'm definitely going to give it a bash then.
This will be my first OS upgrade so I'll be sure to check out those tutorials exactly and hope that all goes well.

    Appreciate the feedback.

    All went pretty smoothly.
i must say I like the new 'look & feel' of the interface and it definitely seems faster & more responsive.

I did run in to a bit of an issue with with the BBSAK which froze up at 99% when I backed up my third party apps, but I figured what the hell, as they were all basically free apps anyways.

The wipe and install of the new OS was quite straightforward and I had the device up & running very quickly again.

I did not manage to restore all my old 3rd party apps via the .alx using the apploader but a lot of them were crap that I never really used anyway. It may also be due to compatibility issues with the newer OS... not sure. I can always still try to upload the .cod files of the ones I really want.

Still messing around with stuff but thus far quite impressed thanks.

Glad to hear it went smooth for you. I think you will like 5.0 a lot better the 4 you were running. Just think 6.0 is just around the corner!:haha:

Unfortunately it looks like MegaUploader killed the link. This happens often with Leaked OS's I am sorry but I am not sure I will be able to find you a new link, however I will try.

What is the status on this? Do we have another link or anyone who downloaded it that can re-upload it?

    Please?
