    newest 8310 os?

i've got an 8310 on AT&T in US with 4.5.0.110 OS. Lately it is always freezing or really slow and the worst part is that the phone call quality is horrible. This phone used to be rock solid with the original 4.2 OS. Is there a newer OS that can correct some of the problems I'm having with 4.5.0.110?

AT&T hasnt released a version yet, but you can just delete the vendor.xml and these will work for you as well

Seems like AT&T has a newer one?

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4 (reached by going to blackberry.com/att and then choosing Downloads->Phone Device Software->AT&T)

Select 8310 from the list and the newest version appears to be 4.5.0.152.

That's just the package version. The OS is still 4.5.0.110.

    "Applications: 4.5.0.110"

When the release says "BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.254 (EastAsia)", what does the EastAsia imply? Will it still have English as a language choice?

It will have english as the language as most releases are "all languages". You would just need to select the language during install. East Asia is the location to where it release came from. Many countries receive updated software before we do and vice versa.

    Question hmm

For Dialog Sri Lanka it shows as:

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.81 (EastAsia)

    Package Version: 4.5.0.81
    Consisting of:
    Applications: 4.5.0.55
    Software Platform: 2.7.0.68
    File name: 8310EastAsia_PBr4.5.0_rel81_PL2.7.0.68_A4.5.0.55_D ialog.exe
    File size: 71.73MB

While everyone else has a varying listing of:

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.174 (EastAsia)

    Package Version: 4.5.0.174
    Consisting of:
    Applications: 4.5.0.124
    Software Platform: 2.7.0.92
    File name: 8310EastAsia_PBr4.5.0_rel174_PL2.7.0.92_A4.5.0.124 _Vodafone_M1.exe
    File size: 86.73MB

So if you are going by decimal placing rather than the number, .55 is better than .124, right? Even tho the install package is smaller? or does .124 make more sense, I would think that they would put it as .055 then... i dunno

Yeah it seems like it is pretty maddening for folks with the 8310 not having the 5.0 to play around with. You can still dream though
