It will never happen (I know, never is a long time).

Of all the 83xx series, I think the only device that will see any newer 5.0 releases is the 8330. All others will be stuck with 4.5.0.x patches and security fixes until the devices become "obsolete" (ie. replaced by ... 85xx,91xx,95xx,96xx,97xx... and possibly yet to be seen 98xx,99xx).
