I have figured out that when in an article if you switch it to page view it works perfect. Looks like the column view is the default. I can not find a way to set the default view to page. ok,
so i have OS 5.0 up and running on my verizon 8330. the browser is great and the speed is a noticeable difference. a few things that im having trouble with.
1-no BBM. the OS didnt load with it and im not sure what I should do. Does the new BBM5 (if this version that is available from the app store a new bbm5 version) load on my surve running os 5.0.0.230?? if not what version do i need to DL and where can i find it?
2- App world pops up an window stating:
"Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again"
and it closed me out after i hit ok.
3- I used BBSAK to load my apps back on and it did. But i have a few icons with little green arrows on the bottom of the icons and the phone says that they are archived apps. Im not sure what this means or what i should do with them but if anyone knows, i would be very greatful.
ill let everyone know what happens with this OS the more I try it but other than these little problems, so far so good.

As far as item 1 I am runnig the new BBM 50 on my Curve with 230 and it works fine.

You should be able to use the new BBM, it is for all devices.

For your archived applications: if you go into app world and into my world in the bottom left it will bring up all the items you have dl'd and it will show the deleted ones as archived. if you right select the archived app and click bb-button for the menu and choose delete again it will show the app as now uninstalled and the icon will dissappear with a batt pull.

My wifes started doing the appworld thing I tried to mess with it a lil last nite but didnt get it resolved. I will try again tonite and let you know if I come up with a fix

So it seems plausible to have a Sprint Curve 8330 that is NOT an 8330m and that WILL function with the 5.0 OS?
I do have an ESN on both the about screen and under the battery. I got mine last December (2008).

so has anyone got appworld to work on 5.0 for 8330? if so how???
I'm not aware of any issues with app world and 5.0 on the 8330. A new version was just released too. I would recommend that you delete app world from your device, reboot, and reinstall the latest version.
