Ok so far so good first boot up was horrible reboot was fast little over 1 min. I wont be able to comment about battery life because the curve has a 2600 battery. The screen shots i posted above show some of the features. There is only the 4.3 theme like what was mentioned but i have 3rd party themes on here. Also has the 3G icon media loads fast. Browser is smoking fast. will post more tommorow after the os has 24 hrs to settle in.
Also has a nice screen for calls that have came in, Camera is instant

GPS takes a little while to obtain a lock but works pretty good after the fact. BBM works, but BerryWeather does not like to use the GPS location. Will go back and check the permissions again. GTalk works.
Update - Berryweather just started working.
App World not working. States cannnot find an internet connection and Gmail plugin will not install properly.

App World keeps giving me an error stating it cannot find a network connection. Sprint 8330.
To get the Gmail plugin to work, edit the net_rim_bb_gmail.alx and change the following lines:
<fileset Java="1.38">
<directory>Java</directory>
<files>
net_rim_bb_gmail.cod
net_rim_bb_gmail_resource__en.cod
net_rim_bb_gmail_help_en.cod
</files>
</fileset>
to
<fileset Java="1.00">
<directory>Java</directory>
<files>
net_rim_bb_gmail.cod
net_rim_bb_gmail_resource__en.cod
net_rim_bb_gmail_help_en.cod
</files>
</fileset>

Just an fyi about 5.0 builds.. make sure you have all of you permissions set to allow.. we have found on other devices that this is needed instead of the custom settings.
I have a verizon curve 8330 running 4.5.169.
I was surprised, based on your suggestions, that i have the meid.
does this mean that mine is an 8330 m?
Also, does this mean then that i can't upgrade, evevn though i hear it works with verizon 8330s?
I'll have to wait on a hybrid since im on Sprint![]()
If you have a curve with Verizon then you should have a 8330.
I loaded this on my wife's pink curve. Wow her phone is like night and day. BBM5.0 does not work like with most 5.0 OS above .190. I loaded BBM4.7 and she is happy with that. Her "Sex in the City" works fine. When charging the screen turn inot a closk like the storm. All of her other apps like facebook, slacker and poynt work fine. Great build for Curve users. The browser is super fast as well.
Wirelessly posted (9000 OS 5.0.0.191)
Go to options, applications, highlight the app, menu and select edit permissions.
BlackBerry by Choice!
I go to PimpMyBerry! - Pimp Your BlackBerry! for all my 8330 themes
I should have been more clear in what i was saying about the 8330m.. i believe all the devices will show you an meid but on a plain 8330 you should see an esn as well.. also go options>about and if it only says 8330 you are good to go. The 8330m is typically a sprint phone.. wife was loving the speed last nite. I am goign to let her use it all day because she will pick it apart maybe I will get her to log on and give some feed back later today
Ok, i downloaded it on my verizon curve 8330 meid.
I was running OS.169 from cellular south.
Installed perfectly using DM5.0.1
4.5 themes work fine
App issues:
1. BB app world not on it - re downloaded it, does not fin dthe server
2. You Mail app - sill works, but can only get my voice mail messages played throughthe email notification - no biggie, that's how i was doing it anyway
3. Mobihand app link - works fine
4. Opera Mini 5 beta - so far seems ok
5. Quick Launch - no problem working fine
6. BBM5.0 - had it, was replaced with 4.7 wit OS load; will keep that until a compatible version comes along
7. Poynt - works fine
8. Later Dude pro seems fine
9. Vlingo - still up in there air - i haven't had time to examine it fully yet
10. Opera Mini 4.2 - works great
11. Viigo RSS feeder - not supported had to delete
12. Forward, reply edit - says it works, but so far it isn't
I will write again with more updates as I settle into the new OS.
