booting up now will post findings later.. or tom after playin with it.
Ok so far so good first boot up was horrible reboot was fast little over 1 min. I wont be able to comment about battery life because the curve has a 2600 battery. The screen shots i posted above show some of the features. There is only the 4.3 theme like what was mentioned but i have 3rd party themes on here. Also has the 3G icon media loads fast. Browser is smoking fast. will post more tommorow after the os has 24 hrs to settle in.
Also has a nice screen for calls that have came in, Camera is instant

GPS takes a little while to obtain a lock but works pretty good after the fact. BBM works, but BerryWeather does not like to use the GPS location. Will go back and check the permissions again. GTalk works.
Update - Berryweather just started working.

To get the Gmail plugin to work, edit the net_rim_bb_gmail.alx and change the following lines:
VERY LIMITED ON APP SPACE! FYI. Desktop manager hates this phone

This was my biggest dissapointment. I was so hoping for a newer looking theme by default.

I have a verizon curve 8330 running 4.5.169.
I was surprised, based on your suggestions, that i have the meid.
does this mean that mine is an 8330 m?
Also, does this mean then that i can't upgrade, evevn though i hear it works with verizon 8330s?
I'll have to wait on a hybrid since im on Sprint
Where are 5.0 themes?

If you have a curve with Verizon then you should have a 8330.

The browser is super fast as well.
Wirelessly posted (9000 OS 220.127.116.11)
Go to options, applications, highlight the app, menu and select edit permissions.
I go to PimpMyBerry! - Pimp Your BlackBerry! for all my 8330 themes

The 8330m is typically a sprint phone.. wife was loving the speed last nite.
