Thread: Verizon Curve 8330 OS 5.0? BBM 5?

Hi all.. New to the forums.. LOTS of info here.. Thanks to all...

I have a question... I see that there's 5.0 OS for the 8330? How do I get it? Also is there a way/place to get the BBM 5? It looks great.. Thanks.

Welcome to BBOS!!! There is no 5.0 OS for your device yet unfortunately. However, if you are running OS .138 or higher, you can download bbm5 here: www.theiexplorers.com/BBM.

OK.. I got the file, but it's in a JAD format... What do I do with it? I saw in other posts about deleting the vendor file, etc.. this seems to be 1 file that Desktop Manager didn't recognize..?!?

If I read this correctly, you followed the link and selected the zip file rather than somehow using the ota for your particular model.

How do you use the ota/.jad file to install this app?

OTA-stands for "over the air transmission" you can directly download your files from there.

Jad. yo will have to email yourself the file and install from there.
