Thread: No wireless update for 8330?

Just got a new vzn 8330 and wanting to update it but it doesnt have any wireless update under the options. it is running V4.5.077 (platform 3.2.0.51). is this the most up to date offical? if not can someone help.

Officially for Verizon, you have the latest OS. Other carriers such as Telus have a new OS you could install.

I believe 4.5.0.160 is what sunkast is talking about.
If you want to get the bbm 5.0 you'll need to up grade

Its there for when Verizon actually has an os upgrade.
The os I'm referring to, verizon hasn't released yet.
Had it been released by verizon you could use that upgrade

Just got a hold of a friend's 8330 which has .77 on it. I did see it had the wireless upgrade option. But there is nothing to update since .77 is Verizon's latest official release for the device. Not sure why you wouldn't have this option though. I can only speculate that perhaps you don't have a data plan or something like that.
