Right that can cause it. Is the phone not seeing the os or is it Apploader?

Ok sounds stupid but worked twice for me, have you tried clearing the browser cache on you computer
Actually...not yet. The computer I am doing this on is a "toss away" so as soon as I get the 9530 OS off I will tank the browser cache.
Ok. Starting at zero. Dumped all browser cache. Removed ALL versions of any OS from the computer. So I should be at nothing. Now I am going to install 4.5.0.160. and go from there.
Well after DM finishes it's updates.
Grr! Fail. I cleared the cache, uninstalled all the OS's, reinstalled 4.5.0.160 and STILL no luck!
Apploader finds the unit, but no OS. DM does not even find the unit. And I am running DM 4.7.
Any ideas?
I also stopped the DM update prematurely. Letting it go now. But the bad thing is I have an hour to get this fixed. GRRRRRR!!!!!!
hmmm.. can you go to my computer>BBdevice and find it or not?
I'm not sure if I am understanding the problem. Is the problem that Desktop Manager does not say there is an OS installed on the computer?
BB device manager sees the phone and gives me the pin. Apploader sees the phone and shows me the pin. Desktop Manager does not see squat.
Apploader does not see the OS on the hard drive.
Ok, new addititon to the situation. I moved to ANOTHER computer. This one I loaded the OS on, and connected via Apploader.
Apploader sees the phone, and brought up a list of applications to install on the phone, However, none of which are the OS.
This is REALLY beginning to piss me off and frustrate the hell out of me.
Sorry about that...lol
Ok, let's start over and refresh what all has been done.
#1) the 8330 Curve was wiped with JL Commander. now the screen is white with a 507 error.
#2) the original computer with all the backups does not see the phone at all. No Device manager, no Desktop manager, no apploader.
#3) the 2nd computer sees the phone via device manager and via apploader, but does not see the phone via desktop manager.
#4) the 2nd computer had ALL OS's removed and just 4.5.0.160 installed fresh. Apploader did not see any OS to install on the device.
#5) the 3rd computer sees the phone via Apploader. I has OS 4.5.0.160 installed and Apploader does not see the OS either. Desktop manager does not see the phone.
Not a silly question at all. no I have not rebooted yet. But I shall. The phone has had the batt pulled since all this has happened, but the computer has not been rebooted yet. And yes the drivers have been loaded on all 3 computers. I am running XP.
Have you tried any of these steps without being connected to the internet?
ok reboot computers...did you install the os's or just extract them?
Not yet. I have been connected on all 3 computers. The 2nd computer just completed reboot, so attempting again on that machine.
I did not have all this trouble when I did the other unit. It went smoothly. This is ridiculous.
What version of Desktop Manager do you have installed? The newer once (4.7+) check the internet for a hidden vendor file.
