How did you check the platform? My "about" will not open.

Wow I usually get help faster than this. Is the BBOS Team still sleeping? No worries, its the weekend. Stiefler must be sleeping from an Ohio State party last night! I remember the ones at Univ of Michigan. (Well Kind of)

FYI, I went into Applications and checked the "Modules" to find that I do have the .138 OS on my wife's curve 8330 from VZW. Everything works great except I cannot open the "About" in options to check the Platform and Version...Weird. Is anyone else having this bug?

I have done 3-60 second battery pulls and it seems to be a much faster Curve than before. My wife never checks anything in Options anyway.

I just wanted to update the other VZW Curve 8330 users out there. So far so good here at the Pain Producer's House!

Lol not this weekend PP :P But try options and status, im not sure with the curves as i dont have one. But that pic up there is showing the PIN and such and thats under option>status. See if that might work

No go. Status just has the file free and PIN. I was looking for another way to check the Version of the OS since I cannot get into the "About" option in the settings.

With the Storm, we can hit '5'5 and get the stats. Not sure on the Curve. I checked the Modules under Applications and it stated .138 so she should be fine.

Updated wifes VZW Curve yesterday to .138. About works and shows Version and platform. Web seems faster and apps more responsive. Maybe re-wipe(LOL) and try again to load??

You can't access About because the VAD (Voice Activated Dialing) wasn't installed on your BB.

You can access the help me screen by pressing alt+left shift+h or if you're on a wap site or website you can put the cursor in a type field and type myver and press the space bar.

Hey all, although i have a storm my wife just got the curve...and well i couldnt leave it alone and of course i used shrink an os(thanks lyri). Its been on there a couple of days, and I gotta tell that thing is like lighting fast. Memory holds stable even though this is her first bb so she doesnt have memocd yet...YET. I want her to make her own account but shes afraid. She is running a breast cancer theme that was completley skinned and no apps yet, but I will get those today . But so far .138 made this thing ten times faster than out of the box, everything seems stable, no freezing, no reboots, just a good solid build here.

thanks for the link. looked all over for it. had to downgrade from .169/.131 because of the annoying chirp
