I'm not sure, I do not own a curve, but has been reported it has been a decent build for the curve.

I loaded it onto her phone last night (she wanted something new after I hopped up my Storm), got done late last night and did not get a chance to play with it so i was not sure what improvements it had.

I am not sure about .160, but I know you would have to be at .138+ for more chance to successful work of bbm5. Some people did have have issue of icon not appearing, but I believe they had older OS versions.
