This is the longest I have ever seen ANY BB take to load an OS. It's been like 15 minutes already.

    Have you delete vendor.exe?

its actually called the vendor.xml and yes i deleted that...
this OS is not loading regardless, i even copy the Java from .284 to the java folder of .234, it installed it but when it came time to boot up, it gave me an Error 200. so this Leak is NO GOOD, for anyone else that wants to try it, don't waste your time.

Bert336, the Error 200 probably means that something in the .234 SFI file (the one in the CDMA directory) is incompatible with one or more of the apps that are part of the .284's Java files.

The SFI file is basically the actual OS itself, and thus newer application versions don't always "play nice".

For the record, I cannot install .236 OR .284 on my VZW 8230, even after a full device wipe (using same tricks as I do with my Storm). The VZW official (.234) is the ONLY one that works.

Being a member of the Help Team, I only wish I COULD help with this issue. But it almost seems like VZW uses a slightly different version of the 8230 than other carriers. I have seen 8230 vs. 8230m discussed in the past. I have literally spent hours trying to resolve the issue, but even after relentlessly scouring the net it seems that no one has come up with a solution.
